Dear Mother,
No package yet. It's been raining the past couple days, so I'm making the most of my umbrella. Elder Higgins is a little confused why considering I'm a Seattlite. We have bikes but use a car. Which reminds me, where's the bike you bought? I currently loaning a bike from the mission so I have a chance to write you. What bike shop did you buy it from? Let me know next week so I can let the mission know where it is.
The people who sent the text was the Calks. They're a part member family in our ward. They have the tradition of sending photos of the elders to their parents. Sister Calk's the pianist for the ward. Brother Calk isn't a member.
I forgot to mention about one of the investigators we've been teaching. His name is Jason. He use to be a member but due to some problems was excommunicated. His son is currently serving a mission in Elder Cahoon's mission, the Utica New York mission.
Love you,
Elder Matthew Blanding

Hey Mom.
I'm doing fine. I'm in North Augusta, a small town in South Carolina. My address is 750 Bergen Rd. Apt 402 SC. I can't remember my zip code. I'm sure that will be enough for you to find it on Google. I would love to put some photos on drop-box, but my camera won't connect to the computer.🙁 We're in the N. Augusta ward in the Augusta stake.
My companion is Elder Higgins. He's from San Diego. This is his last area. He leaves in three months.
I also got to attend the dedication [Provo City Center Temple] in the MTC right before I left. It was certainly an interesting experience.
My area looks a lot like home, hills and trees are every where.
I'll write you more later. I have limited time on the computers at the library, and you know how long it takes for me to write. Again, sorry for no photos.
Love you,
Elder Matthew Blanding
