Disneyland - Happiest Place on Earth

For Christmas Steve gave the kids a trip to Disneyland, well the kids that were still living at home. So off we went to The Happiest Place on Earth.

We left on Sunday and got there early enough to spend almost a full day walking Downtown Disneyland. Jessie talked us into buying a make your own remote control car. For dinner we went to Goofy's kitchen and had a wonderful dinner. During dinner I got a call from Elder Michael Blanding's mission nurse. He has been having a difficult time lately sleeping. It looks like his sleep apnea is worse. During the phone it was decided that we needed to get Mike a c-pap machine. I can't tell you how hard it was for me not to rent a car and drive the 42 miles to his apartment and help him figure this all out. In fact when Steve booked the trip I told him if he rented a car I was going to drive by his apartment, so we didn't rent a car!

That night Jessie spent about an hour watching and talking with a Disney artist. She learned a lot and enjoyed herself. He was pretty nice.

Monday we spent in Disney California Adventure. Radiator Springs is a GREAT RIDE I was brave and went on the roller coaster ride with the family. Jessie loved it so much she wanted to do it more. Chris and Steve did the Tower of Terror; I'm not that brave! We had a blast and walked almost 12 miles!

Tuesday was Disneyland and of course it was all roller coaster type rides all day long! We were able to do Space Mountain a few times, Indian Jones, Matterhorn, Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. We did many of the other type rides that aren't so violent like Pirates and Finding Nemo and a few dark rides. We just had a blast! And boy the crowds! Steve looked it up after we got home and on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst) the days we were there were all 10's!  We could tell it was spring break! WOW!

Wednesday we went back to Disney California Adventure and our favorite ride over there Radiator Springs was closed, bummer! Jessie did two more California Screamin' and then we went to Disneyland and just had fun! It wasn't a full day because we had to fly home.

We had a BLAST! Weather was great! The only down thing was for this mommy who was missing the rest of the kids. It seemed like around every corner I saw something that one of the kids who wasn't there would have liked. A Davy Crocket hat for Matt. See Mike Wazowski and think of Mike. See Tigger and think of Kray and any roller coaster has Jason written all over it! Not sure I like this new normal...
