Dance

Jessie is on the Redmond High School Dance and Drill team and they perform at all the home football games. She is quite the talented dancer.

Not to be out done, Doreen has decided to start dancing again (that is about 38 years after her last dance class). She even got pretty foot undeeze for the class. She isn't quite sure when she needs to wear these, but it's fun.

Missionary Update

Having two missionaries out serving is quite fun! Jason is in Mexico, Puebla North and Mike is in California, San Fernando Spanish Speaking.

Jason writes very little so I don't have much to tell you about Jason. We do know that he is still alive and he is the zone leader in Zavaleta. In the middle of October he got a new companion. It is another native missionary. I think he has only had one America missionary. His Spanish must be very good by now.

Mike just arrived in California Sept 22nd and is serving in Van Nuys. Of course we have google mapped his location and he is one house away from 405 (a highway that goes through Van Nuys). We find this very funny since we are about three miles from 405 that goes through Kirkland. He is really enjoying his mission. He is learning a lot about himself and about service. Thankfully he was never one who was afraid of opening his mouth nor sharing his testimony, but doing it in Spanish is a different thing. He assures us that he is obedient and learning more and more Spanish. He even wrote home and said that his district leader thinks his Spanish is good.

He has had quite the experiences in "Hollywood" as he calls it. His bike was only a week old when he crashed. He reported that he flipped over the handle bars and just left it at that. Talk about a long week for a mom! I told him that if he ever writes something like that and doesn't finish the story I was going to be calling President Tanner who in turn would be calling President Hall.

Mike writes way more than Jason, but sometimes he forgets to tell the "rest of the story" as his mind just goes too fast for his fingers.

Both boys are doing great. They are healthy (or so they report) and are working hard. They are obedient and are rewarded with people to teach. We are so glad they are serving and are grateful for the blessings having two missionaries out brings to our family.
