Hi Mom,
This was the best weekend ever. The week also is easy to report on. We had meetings and did a lot of knocking. Nothing else happened. Really just a slow and boring week, but it ended with a bang!
I loved conference. Elder Holland has provoked this next sentence 100%. Mom, Thank you for all you've done and for your love. I love you so much.
I don't know if I can say I have a favorite talk, they were all good. I really liked the one given by President Uchtdorf in priesthood. He talked about how people often treat revelation like it should just work and they don't need to do anything to receive it. He compared it to a spotlight that someone unplugs and then blames the spotlight for not working. We can't do this with God. If we want God to show himself and speak to us, we have to search for Him, show Faith in Him and say, "Here I am Lord. I want to know and I will follow thee." He also had a really good description of Daniel in Babylon, I want to study his talk and the story of Daniel together and see what I can learn from the two.
Also, we got Transfer Calls on Saturday (that was fun). Guess what, I'm staying! know what else, Elder Wheinheimer's staying too. That's right, Three with Elder Weinheimer. This is going to be so much fun!!!! They also completely remade the zones and districts in the mission. We now have English and Spanish together (still separate districts) and our districts spread over ward boundaries and split some in half. It's cool, but a little strange. We actually have one ward that is being split between two zones, which I think is weird. Fun side, Elder Deyholos (my trainee that I never got to finish) is a zone leader in North Hollywood. SO COOL.
