The Big 5-0!

Steve turned 50! Boy how time flies! For his birthday I bought some tickets to to the Chihuly Museum of Glass, the Great Wheel and dinner at El Gaucho in Seattle. We had a wonderful brunch at the Chihuly Cafe and then toured the museum. The glass work is stunning. Truly Chihuly is a master. We had a fantastic day in Seattle, even if it did rain.

Rain or Rain with Wind

For the month of November it seemed like there was only two forecasts: Rain or Rain with Wind. With flood warnings all over the western part of the state and countless power outages it got to be pretty old. We found out that part of our porch roof leaked, not good and that our septic system needed a new overhaul, really not good. The joys of owning a house.

I stole this photo off of facebook, to show how much rain we had. These pictures are just a few weeks apart. Snoqualimie Falls.

Thanksgiving

We had debated about flying Jason home for Thanksgiving or not until we had a friend approach us with this unique suggestion. Tim Lawson, our friend, is a private pilot and was flying a plane home from Provo, Utah, the Friday before Thanksgiving. The only thing was is the family who owns it wasn't going to be on it. in fact NO ONE was going to be on the plan but the pilots (there were three). He asked if we thought Jason would like to fly home at no charge. Of course we said yes, and found him a ride home! So Jason got to fly on a private jet! And I got to have Jason home for Thanksgiving!
